Do you Realize?

The band bursts into Do you Realize and the confetti cannons are flowing in full force through out the song. Everyone in the audience was signing along.

The Balloon

Last evening we gave out 10,000 laser beams to the audience to enhance the show. The following pictures are the result.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Flaming Lips......

Last night was the longest show that the Flaming Lips have ever played. The show lasted 2 1/2 hours and never a dull moment to be found.
Lasers, Confetti, balloons, Santa Clause's, Aliens, Inflatable animals tossed into the audience, and fun had by all.

And the beat goes on.......

Laser Wars

Finally the moment everyone is waiting for.
The band erupts in songs and the lasers start shooting.
Can Yoshimi beat the Evil Robots?

Sound Check

It's very rare that fans of a band ever get to see a soundcheck for their favorite band, let alone around 80,000 people allowed to see a soundcheck.

After we set up the gear last evening, and of course after The Police had finished their set, the band decided to surprise everyone by doing a sound check. The band decided to play War Pigs by Black Sabbath.

Funny enough on the stage across the field Gov't Mule must have been listening because they ended their show after ours, with Wars Pigs as well.

Getting Closer

Last minute preparations and checks of all equipment. The fans keep coming in.......

Sunset and Line Check

As the sun went down and Franz Ferdinand left the stage, we were finally able to put up our backline and prepare for our sound check.
As always, th band was on deck to help.

taking flight

The UFO has 41 Moving Lights, 25 LED lights, 36 mirrors and a shole lot of love put into it's construction.
It is such a treat to be able to work on something like this. It's a long build but worthwhile once finished.
